
The Microbiology Lab at GPAL is a state-of-the-art laboratory space providing a wide spectrum of qualitative and quantitative analyses, as well as customized studies. The design is such that every consideration has been given to maintain the wholesomeness of the sample. We ensure the safety of our employees and surrounding environment and provide results to our clients using modern technologies in the shortest times possible.
Mary L. Bandu, Ph.D., joined the technical team at GPAL as Director of Microbiology and Analytical Chemistry in 2020. She is an FSPCA Human Food and Animal Feed Qualified Individual as well as an animal feed lead instructor.
She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Houston and a doctorate degree in Bioanalytical Chemistry from the University of
Kansas. In addition, she has authored numerous publications relevant to her research in mass spectrometry. Mary received the Adrienne Hiscox Mitchell Scholarship for outstanding female graduate student and was a Procter & Gamble Fellowship Recipient.
With her leadership, our Microbiology Lab has been able to grow in both methodology and accuracy. GPAL has also been able to expand our Special Testing Department to elevate our Challenge, Validation and Shelf Life Studies.
The design of our Microbiology Lab is such that every consideration has been given to maintain the wholesomeness of the sample. We ensure the safety of our employees and surrounding environment and provide results to our clients using modern technologies in the shortest times possible.
The design approach used is to prevent possible cross-contamination from happening within the Microbiology Lab. GPAL employees take pride in the clean, modern and inviting laboratory atmosphere.
Recent additions to the lab have allowed us to produce results quicker have more accurate testing. The incorporation of additional employees and special equipment has aided in the expansion of tests available to our customers.
